Flawed beauty

Childlike innocence hidden
Underneath this perversion. Pink
Smiles, butterfly wings
entwining prettiness,
Smash them together. Formed
a flaw, this beautiful flaw.
Darkness purges through, light
pushes it back. Just like the lies
I tell msyelf, truth fights
Bringing the emptiness to light.
A flawed beauty nevertheless-
This truth.
I never understood, I never tried.
But then again, I never woke up.
Never tried to inhale
The scent of my coffee cup.
